P&G and Stock Plan Administration have selected E*TRADE Financial Corporate Services, Inc. as our new stock option administrator. On January 14, 2019, former employees transitioned to E*TRADE. The expected transition date for current employees is May 20, 2019.

General questions


What you need to know:

  • On May 20, 2019, you will receive an activation email from E*TRADE. As of May 20, 2019, E*TRADE's website and contacts will be the only way to exercise your stock options. The current My Stock Options system will remain as a system of record for your stock options and RSUs. It will no longer offer trading ability.
  • Activation usually takes approximately 15 minutes online and includes a series of questions required for E*TRADE to administer your grants and open your account which may hold P&G stock. Importantly, the activation process will include online certification of your tax withholding status (Form W-9 for US citizens/residents, Form W-8BEN for international participants). You may have completed this form for other P&G holdings (DSPP or ISOP accounts), but as E*TRADE is a separate withholding agent, separate certification is required for this account. Completing the tax certification questions is important, as it will prevent unneeded backup tax withholding on your stock option exercises so that all proceeds can be directly delivered to you.
  • Limit orders still pending in My Stock Options will be canceled and will need to be re-entered in the new system. We will provide clear guidance on how to do this ahead of activation.

Tools and tips to help you along the way:

We will provide additional information, including information about account activation, how to execute the most common order types, and how to manage or transfer shares (e.g. to a personal bank account in another country).

You will also receive information about training sessions led by E*TRADE. They are planned for the weeks of May 20th and May 27th. Several different times will be offered for the convenience of all global participants (with recordings available afterwards).

RSUs and PSPs

  • At this time, administration of RSUs and PSPs remains with P&G's Stock Plan Administration. We will provide quarterly account statements to former employees. Current employees can continue to view their account in the "My Stock Options" application within Life & Career. There is no action required of you as RSUs and PSPs vest and release automatically. RSUs and PSPs deliver in shares of stock UNLESS you change your delivery preference to "Sell All".
    • If you want to change your delivery preference and you are an active employee:
      • Please go to "My Stock Options" and follow the prompts
      • Confirm your selection in the system
      • Delivery preferences must be input no later than the day before settlement date to take effect.
    • If you want to change your delivery preference and you are a former employee:
      • Please click on the "Forms and Other Information" bar and find the "RSU Delivery Preference Form"
      • The Preference Form must be received by Stock Plan Administration one week before settlement date to guarantee processing.
